Sea Kayaking

Our Guided Kayak Adventures all depart from our commercial kayak dock. We’re located uphill and next to the Orcas Ferry Landing Dock.

Orcas Outdoors offers:
One ($30.00), Two ($47.50), Three ($65.00) hour trips always during Boardwalk hours (7:30 – 7:30) so you’ll be able to catch your ferry. Overnight tours ($379 per person) and multi-day trips ($529) per person are also available.

Our trips are expertly crafted, fascinating and fun. We’ll be watching for bald Eagles, harbor seals, river otters, sea birds and other varieties of tidal sea life.

We operate only during the summer months. Unsafe weather conditions, such as lightning, winds, poor tidal or water conditions, keep us from departing. If that occurs, we’ll refund your money or reschedule your trip.

We have eight double fiberglass kayaks. All equipment is provided. Reservations are appreciated and encouraged but not required if space is available.

Youngsters 11 and older are welcome as long as they know how to swim and have the physicalability to lower themselves into our 18″ wide cockpits and also have the size, coordination and strength to reach forward and free their spray skirt from the kayak.

APPAREL: What you should wear depends on the weather that day. Spray skirts and flotation vests provide extra warmth but keep in mind, the water temperature rarely exceeds 52 degrees. Thermal wear is recommended; cotton garments because they will not insulate once damp or wet. Sunglasses, hats and sun screen are recommended, particularly on a sunny day. On colder days, gloves or neoprene mitts are good.
